Terms and conditions

1. Price includes: all items detailed on the invoice plus hire of firearms and safety equipment for the duration of the event, provision of score cards, targetry, ammunition and one-to-one tuition.
The price excludes VAT.

2. Payment terms: a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the expected final invoice amount (agreed at the time of booking) is required to confirm the booking. The final balance is to be paid 7 days before the event. Any additional costs incurred on the day of the event (eg beverages, prizes etc) must be paid by the client by credit/debit card on the day of the event prior to the client’s departure.

3. Number of participants: the final number of participants and catering choices (if applicable) must be confirmed in writing to the NSC at least 7 days before the event, failing which the NSC will assume the booking is for the highest figure previously notified. The NSC will not reimburse clients for the cost of confirmed numbers not attending.

4. Additional participants: the NSC will charge the per person rate for additional guests attending above the confirmed number subject to availability to accommodate them.

5. Cancellation and postponement: cancellations within 7 days of the agreed event date are charged at 90% of the total price. All cancellations and postponements must be submitted in writing and the date of cancellation is taken to be the date on which the National Shooting Centre receives notification of the cancellation/postponement. Postponements must be notified 14 days before the date of the event, after this it will become a cancellation.

6. Registration: clients and their guests will be required to register with NSC on arrival and must obey the instructions of the NSC staff at all times. Guests will be required to sign a form to confirm they do not contravene Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968 (as amended).

7. Requirements: guests should be in good health and suitably dressed for outdoor activities with sturdy footwear and warm, weatherproof clothing. Hearing protection is provided and must be worn at all times whilst on the shooting ranges. Eye protection is also provided for some disciplines and must be worn when instructed to do so.

8. Weather: shooting is considered an outdoor pursuit and events will take place in any weather conditions except in the case of fog or mist where shooting may not take place if visibility is deemed to be poor. If, due to poor visibility, any shooting activity is unable to proceed, then the NSC will endeavour to offer an alternative. However, if this is not possible, no refund will be given.

9. Governing Law: this agreement is governed by English Law and these terms cannot be varied without the express written permission of the NSC.
